カポエイラとは？
カポエイラとはダンス・ゲーム・スポーツを一まとめにした、ダイナミックなブラジル発の第２の国技ともなっているアートの一つです！目を見張るようなアクロバティックで華麗な動き、ソウルフルな歌, エネルギッシュなの音楽、ダンス・観客の間で起こる神秘的なやり取りとコミュニケーションは一見の価値があります。
カポエイラはアフリカから連れてこられた奴隷の子孫が、ブラジルのサトウキビ畑で行っていたものです。最近では、様々な国のミュージック･ビデオやテレビだけでなく、ハリウッド映画の中にも取上げられよく見られます。

クラスではカポエイラの基本的なステップや技、音楽、歌そして楽器を練習しています。練習は体の柔軟性、びんしょう性、バランス・平衡感覚などの向上などストレッチにヨガと取り入れるなどフィットネス効果があるだけでなく自分への自信・精神力なども高められます。ビギナー(初心者)の方もいつでも大歓迎なので心配無用です。カポエイラで自分の意外な一面や可能性も引き出せ大変身できますよ！クラスは国際色豊かで親切な指導と安全で楽しくフレンドリーな雰囲気の中、日本語・英語・ポルトガル語でクラスは教えられます。

What is Capoeira?
Capoeira is a dynamic dance, game, and sport wrapped up in one remarkable Brazilian art form! It involves amazing acrobatics, beautiful movements, soulful singing, pounding music, and a magical interaction and communication between the dancers, the musicians, and the audience.
Capoeira was once a slave ritual practiced by African descendants in the sugar cane fields and plantations of Brazil. These days it can be seen in Hollywood movies, in music video clips, and on television sets and personal computers in every home in every country.

In our class students increase their flexibility, agility, balance, fitness, and self-confidence. They practice music, singing, and the beautiful movements of capoeira. Beginners are always welcome, and often experience an incredible transformation in their lives! Classes are taught in a safe, fun and friendly environment in English, Japanese, and Portuguese.

８０‘sウィークは（FULL POWER)です！

※８０’sウィークとは……
　月に１度行われる、ジャスティンのクラス３つが全て、８０’sの音楽で行われるイベントです。
　その週は、ジャスティンは勿論、生徒さんも皆さん思い思いの８０年代の格好を楽しみます。
　例えば蛍光色のTシャツやスパッツ、リストバンドなど、小さなアイテムでも自分が楽しめれば何でもアリ！
　お持ちでない方、忘れてきた方にも、ジャスティンが沢山のグッズやアイテムをご用意してお待ちしております。

毎週水曜日１９：００−２０：３０のダイアナ先生の

レゲトン＆サルサミックスのクラスでは

レゲトンやサルサの基礎となるラテンのムーブメントを学びながら

ダンスに不可欠な柔軟性とコアマッスルを鍛え

しなやかで美しいボディーラインを作ってゆきます☆

日本人とタイ人のハーフのL.A育ちのダイアナ先生は

ラテンやジャズをベースとした独自のスタイルをもった

プロダンサー＆プロインストラクターです。

（↑ダイアナ先生とスタジオのマスコットのララちゃん↑）

このクラスはダンスが初めてという入門レベルの方から

他のジャンルのダンスは経験があるけれどラテンは初めてという方

クラブでサルサを踊っているけれどもっとキレイに踊れるようになりたいという方

基礎をしっかりと学びたいという方など入門〜初中級の方にお勧めです。

＝クラスの内容＝

前半はタイでヨガを学びヨガインストラクターの資格も持つダイアナ先生が

ヨガをベースとしたオリジナルのストレッチを行い体をしっかりとほぐしてゆきます。

音楽をかけながら、ほんの少しダンスの要素も取り入れつつ

身体を伸ばし、踊るための準備をしてゆきます。

鏡を見ながら腕の位置や角度、

骨の一本一本、筋肉の一つ一つまで細かく指導してくれるので

初心者でも経験者でも自分の身体の硬い部分やクセを発見することができます。

例えば全く同じ体型の人でも姿勢が良いとキレイにみえますよね？

毎回レッスンを受けるごとに日常での姿勢や動作まで美しくなってゆきますよ。

中盤はラテンエクササイズ。

体の中心にあるコアマッスルを使い腰を自由に動かしてゆきます。

このコアマッススが鍛えられることで美しい姿勢とくびれたウエストラインができます。

後半はいよいよダンス!!

ここまでに使った動きの要素を取り入れ

サルサやレゲトンの音楽に合わせて踊ります。

明るいラテンの音楽に合わせて楽しくエクササイズができますよ。

ダンス経験が浅い方は最初は少し難しく感じるかもしれませんが

繰り返し受講するうちに慣れ、みなさん踊れるようになるのでご心配なく！

美しいボディーラインを手に入れてください！

「かわいい」と言ってもらうのが大好きで
気に入った人にはすぐに「なでて～」とおねだりする

人なつこくてマイペースな女の子です。
さすがはファブの子ポーズもキマってます！！

昨日はJustinのワークアウトクラスSweat Till You Dropでした。

クラスの始まる３０分前、我らが

相変わらず登場からテンションMAX高いですw

そして、続々と生徒さん達が集まってきて最終的には１５人に！

皆さん思い思いの８０年代のファッションに身を包み、

クラス開始5秒後にはJustinのハイテンションな掛け声と共に

懐かしい８０年代の国内外の曲が流れ始めました。

みなさん、イイ汗をかかれてました〜

クラスにご用意させていただいてるお水のカップも

この日は８０年代カラーで気持ちを込めてお絵描き(笑)

カサパは六本木のFABアカデミー東京で毎週木曜日の夜に刺激的で楽しいカポエイラのクラスを教えています

カポエイラとは？
カポエイラとはダンス・ゲーム・スポーツを一まとめにした、ダイナミックなブラジル発の第２の国技ともなっているアートの一つです！目を見張るようなアクロバティックで華麗な動き、ソウルフルな歌, エネルギッシュなの音楽、ダンス・観客の間で起こる神秘的なやり取りとコミュニケーションは一見の価値があります。
カポエイラはアフリカから連れてこられた奴隷の子孫が、ブラジルのサトウキビ畑で行っていたものです。最近では、様々な国のミュージック･ビデオやテレビだけでなく、ハリウッド映画の中にも取上げられよく見られます。

クラスではカポエイラの基本的なステップや技、音楽、歌そして楽器を練習しています。練習は体の柔軟性、びんしょう性、バランス・平衡感覚などの向上などストレッチにヨガと取り入れるなどフィットネス効果があるだけでなく自分への自信・精神力なども高められます。ビギナー(初心者)の方もいつでも大歓迎なので心配無用です。カポエイラで自分の意外な一面や可能性も引き出せ大変身できますよ！クラスは国際色豊かで親切な指導と安全で楽しくフレンドリーな雰囲気の中、日本語・英語・ポルトガル語でクラスは教えられます。

Every Thursday night at FAB Academy Tokyo in Roppongi, Caçapa teaches a fun and exciting capoeira class.

What is Capoeira?
Capoeira is a dynamic dance, game, and sport wrapped up in one remarkable Brazilian art form! It involves amazing acrobatics, beautiful movements, soulful singing, pounding music, and a magical interaction and communication between the dancers, the musicians, and the audience.
Capoeira was once a slave ritual practiced by African descendants in the sugar cane fields and plantations of Brazil. These days it can be seen in Hollywood movies, in music video clips, and on television sets and personal computers in every home in every country.

In our class students increase their flexibility, agility, balance, fitness, and self-confidence. They practice music, singing, and the beautiful movements of capoeira. Beginners are always welcome, and often experience an incredible transformation in their lives! Classes are taught in a safe, fun and friendly environment in English, Japanese, and Portuguese.

今回が東北エリアでのボランティア２回目です。

１、２歳ぐらいのベイビーとも一緒にフラフープしていますが

９８歳の女性もフラフープを週３回、一回４５分して健康を維持しているとのこと。

フラフープをすることでインナーマッスルも鍛えられ、

姿勢もよくなりバランス力もついてきます。

しかも運動しているあの辛い気分はなく、本当に楽しい！！

笑うということが、また健康に繋がるのかもしれないですね。

みなさんもフラフープ、フープダンスを始めて、

生涯のお供にしてみてはいかがでしょうか。

Fab Academy Tokyoでフープダンスを担当するＭｉｋｏｒｉが、SUMMER SONIC 2011でフープパフォーマンス　＆　ワークショップを行いました！今回は子供向けのイベント参加で、子供たちと一緒に元気いっぱいフラフープをしてSUMMER SONICのキッズエリアを盛り上げて来ました。子供たちは本当にフラフープ大好き！時々大人も交じってフープで遊んでいました（笑）。大人も子供一緒に楽しんでいただいて嬉しい限りです☆

今回は出演者としてSUMMER SONICに参加したので、アーティストエリアへのパスもあり、他のアーティストの方にお目にかかる機会もありました。写真はZEBRAHEADのメンバーとMTVのＶＪをしているKenさん、そして一緒にワークショップを盛り上げたNanaさんとMikori。

これからもいろいろな形でみなさんにお目にかかれればと思います！

Japanese Hoop Dancer, MIKORI, was first introduced to Hoop Dance in it's mecca, San Francisco. As a student and model in San Francisco and New York, she found that regular hoop dance sessions kept her in shape physically and brought peace to her busy life. She learned hoop dance at one of the most famous hoop dance communities, HoopGirl, in San Francisco where she developed a smooth and sexy hoop dance style of her own.

When MIKORI returned to Japan in 2009, she was ready to share her unique style of hoop dance with the international hooping community, regularly performing at various events and parties. She has also been featured as a hooper for some major medias such as "世界まる見え！テレビ特捜部"("Sekaimarumie! TV Tokusobu") and "Non-no" magazine.　We're very excited to have MIKORI start teaching at FAB, she's been involved with FAB from it's beginning. And we're all looking forward to meeting more new students and friends.

Q: How much is a FAB class? A: Classes at FAB are reasonably priced 1 class is 2,600 plus tax. You can also purchase 10 classes for 26, 000 plus tax and receive one free lesson or 20 classes for 52, 000 plus tax and receive 3 free lessons.

Q: Why are you just giving hoops away? A: Winter is fading and it is time to MOVE IT! To hoop dance you need a hoop, I simply want more people in Tokyo to enjoy the benefits of hoop dance.

Hooping Really Changed My Life

Earlier this week I sent out a little note to a few hoop loving friends and asked them for some feedback on their hooping experience. I was overwhelmed by the loving responses I got in return. They put a huge smile in my heart and one brought me to tears.

I have watched with love and wonder as Eva, a hooping student at FAB Academy, has gone from strength to strength with her hooping, self improvement, confidence and all over GLOW!

Eva your words blow me away as does your vibrance every time we meet. You are a great inspiration. Thank you!

Rocking our Hoop Glow

When I was a kid hooping was one of our favorite things to do.
One..two..five hoops...we didn't care. We came up with our own little
tricks and just had fun.
It took me more than 20 years to realize how lucky I was back then.

I re-started hooping 8 months ago at FAB Academy. I went to Deanne's
class and confronted her with the words: "Hey, I am sorry but I can't
hoop!" And she just smiled and said: "Why don't you try it out first!"
Her positive attitude was so contagious that I couldn't help but give it a try and it was pure FUN!!!
After a few spins I was able to keep the hoop on my waist for a little
while. What an uplifting experience! I took the class regularly and soon was able to do a few little tricks and made it to the next stage which
is chest hooping. I even did my own little hoop performance a few weeks ago! Dreams do come true, I know it!

Hooping really changed my life. I lost 25 cm on my waist and I am
fortunate enough to have to best hoop teacher in the world. It's not just my new shape, not just the huge amount of self-confidence I gained
from her class it's also the positive energy and the fun we have in
class every single time.

Hoop love is for me watching Deanne in her performances or in class and literally feeling the passion and the dedication she puts into her job. And
like a hoop doesn't have an end neither does hoop LOVE

Latin Jazz Diana-mite - won 2nd place!

On December 19th, 2010- Latin Jazz Diana-mite won 2nd place in the team division at the second annual Japan Salsa Cup competition - see http://japan-salsa.org/japancup.html

There were over 10 teams in this division and they judged us on technique, performance, costume, audience reaction, and timing. We lost by only two points. Last year we won first place, so although we were disappointed we could not defend our title, we were ecstatic that we could place again. Maybe we needed a few more hoots and howls from the crowd to give us the extra two points so we could have won!

The choreography was mainly done by myself, and Kike helps me with the beginning and the end. He knows how to put the cherry on the top and how to go in and out with a bang! I love how we artists can all collaborate with each other. And Kike really works with me on my concept and his image of how the costume can be done. I always have a design or color in mind, then I have him listen to the music, and it blows my mind what creation he imagines to make us look longer, stronger, and more FABulously sexy when we dance! Always always, a big big thank you from the bottom of our hearts, brother! Thank you dancers, too!

On Friday, in Latin Choreography and Performance class, anyone can join to learn styling and movement for sexy Latin vibes. Not all students are from Diana-mite team, so it is an open class. If you love Latin movement, and want to learn how to be sexy and free in performing, come on Fridays 8:30-10p.m.-- a great way to end the week and begin the weekend!

“movement”は毎月25日発刊のストリート系ダンス情報のフリーマガジンです。

今回はダンスムービーを紹介しながらいくつかに出演／振付をしたSWOOPのコメントとクラス情報が22Pに掲載されています。スペースの都合上、掲載しきれていませんが、SWOOPにインタビューしたところ、古き良いダンス時代のフレッド・アステアなどはもちろん、たくさんのダンスの時代を見つめ、自身も日本を騒がせたハマーのワールドツアーを皮切りに多くのアーティストとともダンサー／振付家としてに活躍してきていました。
映画のダンスシーンの中で知らずと見かけていたことを知りました。（オースティン・パワーズにも！）

ヒップホップフィットネス？？と首をかしげることなかれ！！！SWOOPのガイドは分かりやすく流れのある組み合わせのもとに動きを繰り返して行くことで身体の中に流れが生まれます。多いに汗をかいて動きを楽しめるクラスです。そして彼のおちゃめな突然出てくるダンスムーブメントがまた必見。基礎体力が上がりながら動きが身についていくこと間違い無し！！！

SWOOP on DANCE MOVIES

I love all dance movies, from musicals to urban style. I have been involved with many dance movies, creating choreography, dancing and acting. Two of my favorite dance movies I’ve been featured in are “You Got Served” and “Stomp the Yard”.

In “You Got Served”, my favorite scenes were the battles. It was so much fun to be around so many talented dancers all together. Being able to see every dancers personal style and viewpoint was very interesting. For three weeks during filming, we had dance circles every day and we could show our talents to the world. I performed a freestyle at the beginning of the movie. I was wearing a blue tracksuit.

“Stomp the Yard” was really interesting and different because at that time, stepping was really just something college students did. I personally had learned stepping while on tour with MC Hammer in the 1990’s, so it was exciting to see it being reinvented. The choreography of this movie evolved by adding hip hop moves to stepping. My favorite scene is the final battle because it’s filled with so much passion and emotion.

My class at FAB Academy is special because not only do I teach the steps of hip hop, but also the feeling, passion and rhythm of dance. I teach how to listen to all the sounds in music and how to express those sounds with the body. Each class is unique with all different music mixes and choreography styles varying from music video to street. My classes are open to all types of people, but we’re all guaranteed to have fun while getting fit and learning the coolest dance moves.

たくさんのダンスムービーから、振付け、ダンス、演技、あらゆるものを取り入れてきました。中でも気に入っている２つは“You Got Served” と “Stomp the Yard”です。

“You Got Served” の中でいちばん好きなのはダンスバトルのシーンです。才能あるたくさんのダンサーたちとの共演でとてつもなく楽しいものでした。個々の個性的なスタイルを目にすることができるのが大変興味深いと思います。撮影は３週間におよび、毎日、競演の輪ができ、それを世界に見せることができました。私はこの映画の冒頭でフリースタイルを踊っています。ブルーのトラックスーツがそうです。

“Stomp the Yard”は本当に興味深く、おもしろさは異なります。それというのも学生の頃、当時はただ何かステップを踏んでいたのです。個人的には1990年代にMC Hammerのツアーでステップを学びました。それは非常に刺激的で革新的でした。この映画の振付けにはヒップホップの動きがステップに加えられています。いちばん好きなシーンは最終バトルです。強烈に情熱と感情を感じ取ることができるからです。

自分のFAB Academyでのクラスはスペシャルでただヒップホップのステップを教えるだけではありません。フィーリングや情熱とダンスのリズムを伝えます。音楽の中でどの音を聴くか、それらの音をいかに早く身体に伴うかを教えます。どのクラスもユニークで違う音楽を織り交ぜ、振付けのスタイルもミュージックビデオからストリートまで幅広く行います。クラスはオープンでどんなタイプのひとも参加できます。みなさんが楽しんで健康的にダンスの最高の動きを学べることを保証します。

FAB Dancers Heat Up the Vanity Podiums

Miki is a Hip Hop dancer from the entertainment capital of the world, Las Vegas, Nevada. She has been dancing since her child hood following around her mother who was also a choreographer. She learned most of her art in Las Vegas dance studios and shows. She has been a part of many well-known dance groups and teams such as Culture Shock Las Vegas, Meccamee, and the UNLV Rebel Girls. Miki has an individual style that represents her personality: a mix of fun, sexy, cute and cool. Being half-Japanese, she’s very excited to share her unique style here in Toyko.

Come join Miki at her workshop to learn and have fun with sexy hip hop moves that will make you sweat! Recovering from the most fabulous weekend ever! Over the weekend I was lucky enough to marry the sweetest boy in the world, Masao, and be surrounded by my gorgeous FABily the whole time.

Showering you all in so much love, hugs and gratitude for making our wedding celebrations a spectacular success jam packed with fun, smiles and fabulous styling.

A very special thank you goes out to Brad and Kike, the owners of FAB Dance Academy. Not only are they a wonderfully creative and hard working couple but they also know how to throw entertaining parties that make everyone feel truly fabulous. On Sunday, Brad and Kike, along with the help of a sparkling team, transformed FAB Dance Academy into the most stylish and accommodating wedding venue in Tokyo. Masao and I joyfully conducted our wedding ceremony under the light of the FAB disco ball while friends and family joined in on the fun.

I often wonder and regularly am asked, "Is there anything Kike cannot do?" a world class choreographer, dancer and producer, Kike also excels in the art of costume design and creation, styling and make up artistry. So I was honored, excited and truly just blown away that he was in charge of styling and creating our looks for the wedding.

On Saturday we had a Kira Kira Circus Picnic in Inokashira Park. We wanted something unique and colorful to celebrate in outdoor, sunny style. Kike, along with the help of fellow hooper Tink, crafted me a cropped Swarovski clad tee, holographic booty shorts, Swarovski crystal covered animal printed Converse high tops and a flowing hot pink tutu, with feather and crystal head dress and black and crystal accessories. Masao wore a black Lady Gaga tee enhanced with crystals and fringed sleeves, a pair of original 80s Wacky Racers board shorts and silver high top Converse.

On Sunday Kike kicked the day off with an early morning make up session at FAB, creating a striking wedding look for me and a few friends involved in the ceremony. I love the way Kike does my make up, he understands my features so well and makes them come alive. I always feel so glamorous!

Then it was time to slip into the carefully crafted and skillfully designed pieces, made by Kike and Tink. We headed off to Justin AKA The Yoga Terminator apartment before the guests arrived where I was carefully sewn into my costume. I was giddy with excitement as I put it on, it felt fabulous all day and I danced thr night away in this truly amazing outfit.

Big thanks to Tink (Kristen) for her hard work, creativity and endurance throughout the wild process.

Masao's look for the day made him look like more of a hottie than usual.

Thank you and love tot he whole FABily for making our celebrations truly spectacular.

実は彼女は僕の友達で、フィットネス＆ヨガを教えている生徒でエヴァです！
ドイツ出身で、2年間日本に住んでいて
彼女を僕のナンバーワン戦士と呼んでいる。
なぜなら彼女は僕が教える木曜のクラスにほぼ毎回来てくれるから。トシエちゃんとユミちゃんもほとんど全てのクラスに来てくれている。

土曜日、エヴァは僕が持つ二つのクラスを連続でも取ります。彼女は今年の1月からFABアカデミーに入会したんだけど、その当時、彼女は太りすぎていてシャイで、すごくおとなしかった。それ以来、FABで戦士のように頑張ってなんと31kgも減量したよ。31ｋｇだよ！！！今では自信を持ち、美しく、そしてパワフルな女性になった。

僕達は二人とも、スターウォーズが大好きで、彼女はスペイン語も話すんだ。
だから時々、僕は彼女を笑わせる為に、スペイン語でエロいことを言ったりする。
でも他の人は何を言ってるか分かっていないからちょうどいいんだけどさ！
それと僕達は”フォース”を信じてる。スターウォーズを知ってる人なら
”フォース”が分かるよね？
僕らはダークサイドを打ち負かすぐらい
信じられないようなポジティブなエナジーを持っている！
二週間前にパエリアパーティがエヴァの家であった。

僕は彼女がダークサイドを打ち負かせるように、精神を鍛えるシンボルのポスターをプレゼントしたんだ。

人生で様々なチャレンジをし続ける中で、ダークサイドが、簡単に彼女を支配できるはずが
彼女は強いからそれに打ち勝ってこれたんだと思います！！
彼女こそが、真の戦士だ！！

Some know her as Eva or The PR Princess of FAB or the Jedi in training, but what I call her is my #1 ⚡Warrior⚡ She is my friend , fitness&yoga student, and also my teacher as well!

The Only One Smiling! That's how you stand out!

She is from Germnay and has lived in Japan for 2 years. I call her my number #1 Warrior because she comes to almost every Thursday class I teach, also Toshie comes to almost every class as well but on Saturdays Eva does something no one else does... she takes both my yoga classes, back to back!

Eva❤ and Toshie❤ are my "Sweat Till You Drop" Junkies!! ☆☆

She joined FAB Academy in January, overweight, shy, and very quiet. Since then she has lost 31kg since she started there! 31kg!!!! Yes, you read it right, 31kgs!! Now a confident, beautiful, and powerful woman has come to life! She never backs down to challenge I present in class and has challenged herself in almost every class that FAB as to offer! She almost gave up in Momo's Latin Beauty class, now she wears high heels in the class, you've gotta love that spirit!!!

We both love Star Wars and she also speaks Spanish. So sometimes I will say eroi things in Spanish to make her laugh but other students really don’t understand! Si quieres mi platano tengas que pagar 200 pesos porque yo soy un puto mi barato. Also we both believe in the FORCE, you know THE FORCE in Star Wars. We both have incredible positive energy which we use to defeat THE DARKSIDE! I went Eva’s house 2 weekends ago for a FAB Paella Party. I gave her this poster as symbol of the strength that she has to defeat the DARKSIDE.

If it's not the JEDI way, then it's not our way☯☮

She read the Japanese version of this blog on my Harlequin blog and sent me a very touching thank you message, but she asked me, "I don't know why I deserve such a attention, but I enjoyed it very much. I sure hope I can give this kind of positive energy back to you." First of all Eva, you have given me enough positive energy to last me a whole year, so you don't have to worry about paying me back. And second of all, though you pay the most attention to what I say in class, you forgot one of the most important things I have taught in my 10 months at FAB. That is, we are all deserving of love, to let go and let others make you feel the best you can possibly feel, and let your teacher adjust you in shivasana without moving a GODDAMN MUSCLE!! LOL

Eva, has had many difficult challenges in her life and the DARKSIDE could’ve easily taken control of her, but she was too strong, you know why.........

前に桜新町に住んでったでも毎週だいたい４回ぐらいFABでクラス取ると教える。僕はいつも自転車を使うからだんだん僕の足が疲れてになった。それで僕がFABもっと近くに住みたかった！

An exciting new kids hula hoop course kicks off at FAB Academy Tokyo September 3.

A colorful mix of dance, play and movement designed to support physical fitness, encourage ecstatic expression and nurture self-esteem.

Hoopstars will learn 50+ hoop dance tricks through playing interactive hoop dance games they can share at home and school.

All classes allow hoopstars the opportunity to demonstrate what they have learned through dance, play and performance.

Each week will offer the many benefits of hoop dance, including:

    * enjoyment of physical activity, dance and modern beats
    * appreciation for dynamic performing arts
    * social interactions
    * creativity and self-expression
    * group participation

Hoop Dance - The Next Level

Beginners & Beyond Hoop Dance Classes at FAB Dance Academy Tokyo
Every Friday 6:30 - 8pm

While hooping on the waist is a powerful workout, core strengthening and calorie burning it is just one of the levels of the body for a hoop to rotate on. People are often surprised to see hoop dancers coiling up hoops to their chest, shoulder and neck. The upper body moves can be a real challenge to master but definitely provide a huge sense of achievement when accomplished and are always a crowd pleaser.

Chest Hooping
Get ready to work up a hoop sweat! Chest hooping works the upper body and gives you a hot workout. Using your internal coil and the muscles in your abdominals and back work on coiling and pulsating the hoop from your waist up to your chest in a smooth spiraling motion upwards. This can be a real challenge but it is a fun move to master.

Shoulder Hooping
Shoulder hooping looks hot, feels great and really helps to strengthen your upper body.This is a tough move that requires dedication. So don't give up!

Neck Hooping
A favorite with kids and adults. Hooping on the neck requires even, yet gentle pushes from energy centers on the back and front of your neck. An unusual feeling for some, neck hooping is the base for many shoulder and upper body hoop dance tricks.

Angles
A full on, whole body work out. Hooping on a forward and backward angle requires awareness of your center points. Thinking about pulsating your center points towards the sky while your body is on an angle to the Earth. You will be in hoop heaven!
